Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Washington to secure more and better US aid for Ukraine, but many of his pleas fell on deaf ears as Republican opposition grows. The US has been providing aid to Ukraine since 2014, when Russia annexed Crimea, but the amount has been decreasing in recent years.
